Did you know that resources on our website, www.asatonline.org, can be translated into 100+ languages? With the help of Google Translate, individuals around the world can access our content—no matter where they live or what language they speak. This aligns with one of ASAT’s core goals: promoting global dissemination of accurate, science-based information.
We hope to bridge the gap between language barriers and access to our resources; and that you and your loved ones, both in the U.S. and abroad, can take advantage of this feature. While automated translations may not always be perfect, we believe it’s important to make our content as accessible as possible. We’re also actively collaborating with others to expand and improve our translated offerings.
We recognize that language barriers can limit access, and we’re committed to bridging that gap. Whether you’re in the U.S. or abroad, we hope you and your loved ones can benefit from this translation feature.
This step-by-step guide will walk you through how to use Google Translate on our site. At the end, you’ll find a disclaimer that outlines the limitations of automated translation and clarifies that while we strive for accuracy, some nuances may not be fully captured in every language.
For Computer Users:
- Go to our website: https://asatonline.org/. Make sure your page is fully expanded; otherwise, the translation bar may not appear on your screen as shown below.
If opened correctly, this is what the screen should look like:

- On the upper right of our website page, you will see a horizontal bar that shows this:

- Once you see the bar, look for the white button, which should have a flag and a two-letter abbreviation indicating the language.

- Click on the button, and a drop-down menu should appear. This will list all languages into which our website can be translated. If you do not immediately see your preferred language, hover over the down arrow to scroll through the languages available.

- Click on your preferred language. To demonstrate, we’ll use “Spanish” as the selected language. All content will automatically be translated, and a new page will load displaying the newly translated content.

- Browse through website tabs or use the search bar to find exactly what you want to learn more about. Once you switch to a different ASAT webpage, you may have to reload the page for the translation to occur again.
Although the translation feature says the article has been translated to Spanish, it is still in English. One reloaded it should look like this:

For Mobile Users:
- Once you enter our website: https://asatonline.org/, you will see a translation widget on the bottom left with “EN” and a Flag.

- Click on the translation widget and select your preferred language.

- After you’ve made your language selection, the website will automatically reload and translate all content. The sample below is translated into Spanish.

- After the webpage loads, you are free to explore the website in your chosen language. The translation widget will always remain on screen. The webpage you choose to visit may not automatically appear in your selected language. If this happens, simply reload the page to initiate the translation feature.
We hope you find our content beneficial. Please review our disclaimer related to the use of this feature.
Translated flyers in 28 different languages can be found here. Please support our dissemination efforts for Science in Autism Treatment by sharing these resources. We also have shareable memes in several languages (Arabic, French, Spanish, Hindi, and Telugu at the time of this article). We are continually adding to this collection.
