Association for Science in Autism Treatment

Morgan Properties is a multi-family property management company that owns and manages over 50,000 apartment homes, of which 10,000 are located in New Jersey. Each year the organization holds a Leadership Conference, which includes a team building component. They also have an extremely generous charity program set up at this event, which not only builds employee morale, but enables them to give back to a variety of charities of their choice.

This year’s event was held at the Baltimore Inner Harbor. We are very proud to share that regional manager, Debbie Quigley, and her team donated their second place winnings of $1,000 to the Association for Science in Autism Treatment (ASAT).

The teams were required to complete a series of challenges around the harbor involving teamwork, problem solving, agility, creativity, and skill to earn points. Out of 22 competing teams and 25 total events, Debbie’s group was able to accrue enough team building points to achieve a second-place win. The Association for Science in Autism Treatment was selected as their donor of choice, due to the difference we make in increasing autism awareness.

Debbie was quoted as saying,

“I was so proud of my team for their spirit and will to win this challenge and support ASAT. I really appreciate this opportunity to share our message that on this very special day when a team of 7 property managers and 7 service managers and myself as their Team Leader and biggest supporter worked together for a greater cause and was able to take 2ndplace and present $1000 to ASAT.”

With the support of contributions like these, ASAT is able to expand our ability to deliver information to a variety of groups, both here in the United States and abroad. Team member Aaron Butler shared a personal story about why choosing autism awareness was important to him.

“A very good friend of ours has a daughter with autism. Her mother changed her own life to help her. I feel there is not enough knowledge out in the public about what autism is. I hope we can continue to play for this charity and win money to support autism awareness yearly. We hope we can continue to win and donate to your group.” Aaron, we hope you continue to work with us as well!

Thank you, Morgan Properties and Team Debbie! ASAT truly thanks all those who continue to make the dissemination of evidence-based treatment surrounding autism care possible. Please see the photos of the group and their participation in some of the challenges!
