Join us for a thought-provoking and informative CEU event, “Lessons Learned: 25 Years of Standing for Science”, delving into the evolution of access to science-based autism treatment over the past quarter-century.

Through the lens of personal and professional experiences shared by our esteemed panelists – Dr. David Celiberti, Dr. Eric Larsson, Dr. Lina Slim, and Dr. Mary Jane Weiss – this event illuminates the journey of autism treatment and its impact.  Moderated by Nicole Stewart (ASAT’s CE Coordinator), this session invites participants to explore how historical practices and challenges have shaped contemporary approaches to autism care and treatment. Gain insights into the past’s influence on our future while advocating for comprehensive, socially valid care and buffering the impact of non-evidence-based treatments and misinformation on the autism community.

Learning Objectives:
  • Participants will understand the evolution of science-based autism treatment over the past 25 years.
  • Participants will examine the impact of non-evidence-based treatments on the autism population.
  • Participants will identify strategies to promote dissemination of accurate, scientifically-valid information.
