Dr. Hall,

Thank you for your article.  We deeply appreciate your recognition of the work of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment in taking steps to keep science at the forefront of every conversation about autism treatment.  Your readers may not be aware of the sad reality that there are over 500 proposed treatments for autism with only a tiny percentage enjoying scientific support.

One of the important messages of your article is the reality of the layers of harm associated with interventions that sound positive, natural, and/or logical carried out by individuals who manufacture credentials designed to impress and distract.

The collective voices of many are needed to counter and combat pseudoscience and increase the likelihood that families of people with autism can make the best possible choices based on science.  We appreciate your efforts!

Sincerely,

David Celiberti, PhD, BCBA-D

Executive Director of the Association for Science in Autism Treatment
